Short: My Workbench (1024x768)... lot of cool things! Author: fedepo@geocities.com (Federico Pomi) Uploader: fedepo geocities com (Federico Pomi) Type: pix/wb Architecture: generic Ok... This evening I didn't know what to do, so I decided to take a snapshot of my WB and to upload it on Aminet. The result is in that archive... I spend lot of time on my Amiga, so I set up my WB very well: it's at the same time very practical, nice-to-be-seen and powerfull :) Important note: in the archive, you'll find two images of my workbench: one is in 1024x768 size (real one), and the other is in 640x480... i rescaled the image in the desperate try to make Gabriele Favrin understand that AGA rulez no more, and that CyberGFX doesn't suck... He still think that an AGA Pal 640x512 interlaced screen (how many hertz ????) is better and faster than a CyberGFX 1024x768 screen.... I can't really understand him :) Gabriele: have a look at the 640x480 image, and tell me what do you know think about AGA... :) In the screenshot, you'll be able to see some interesting commodities and patch, some of them are quiet unknow.. so here is the list : - The background picture ("The survivor") is, of course, by Eric Schwartzy - The toolbar in the right-up corner is ATB (AmiToolBar), by Daniel Balster. IMHO it's much more nice-viewing than Toolmanager, it steals less screenspace than ToolManager and it uses MUI. The problem is that ATB is a bit nasty to be configure, and some times it make some Enforcer HIT (but never a GURU). - The two little eyes on the ScreenBar are by MagicEYE - The colors of the windows, the gadget in the right 1:1 ratio and some other important patches are by VisualPrefs and FullPalette, both by Massimo Tantiglione, both in betatesting. - A nice FBY moduled is being played by HippoPlayer (the HippoScope window and the little window under ATB) - CyberGrab grabbed the picture - CyberShow was showing the "Low counter award" of my home page :) - MUIMore is my textviewer, wich was showing a Latin translated text and his Search window. - The menus are by MagicMenu II, and the nice image inside of it are by PictureMenu. - The trashcan in the right-bottom corner is by BenchTrash - The sample (red on black) on the right is showed by Multiview, via sound datatypes (very cool patch found on Aminet, which will make you able to see the waveform) - NewIcons patch is running, and all my icons are by the ProIcons collection - The CD of Dires Straits is showed by Idefix97 & Asim FS - The BigMac volume is mounted by CrossMac Filesystem, which I installed on the RDB of the harddisk, so that "BigMac:" is avaiable also when I boot from disk or whithout Startup-sequence. I use that volume under ShapeShifter, of course :) The icon is a Macintosh icon, which I translated to NewIcons format using another great Daniel Balster's program: Mac2NI. - In the left-bottom corner is running TinyMeter - Last, but not least, in the right you can see a little CPU Meter BeOS like.. it's a program on which I'm working: the GUI is FULL ready, but I have to code the CPU-busy-detection routine. Probably I'll do it via Executive. Here it's a list of other utilisies-patch that you could'nt see, but that was running: - Arq 1.83, the requester improver.... it should be updated, because the requesters are a bit outlooked... - CaBoom, GREAT commmodity that change the opening-window routine, makeing it very cool, with explosion like Aron under Macintosh, but much more configurable - Executive, scheduling my 62 taskes :) - HDSleep - MCP & PowerSnap: I couldn't live without them ! - SwazInfo: Patches the Information window of wb, making it more powerfull. I run lots of patch&commodites on my system, but it still be very stable, because I tried all the patches one week before leaving them installed.
