Short: Spaceship Raytrace by Bob Harrington Author: rch@blarg.net (Bob Harrington) Uploader: rch blarg net (Bob Harrington) Type: pix/trace Architecture: generic BH_McNair_6.jpg 464 x 600 JPEG image. Raytrace of USS McNair. I created the Imagine object and this scene for a friend of mine who is a fifth grade teacher. Part of his class curriculum involves having the kids pretending to be Starfleet Academy Cadets crewing the training ship USS McNair, named after Ron McNair, one of the Challenger Shuttle Astronauts lost in 1986. It is a very clever way to sneak in all sorts of science related subjects and cooperation skills while the kids think they're having fun. Who says school can't be fun? (The background may look familiar to some of you... my 14 year-old nephew found it on an advertisemaent (I think it was Microsoft Network..), and challenged me to recreate it from scratch.) Thank you, Challenger! Your inspiration will never die. Hope you like it! Your comments are welcome! email: rch@blarg.net mail: 1407 2nd Ave W #310 Seattle, WA 98119 USA
