Short: The 1st *pretty* XEN ZiPdrive icon. Author: lrvk@euronet.nl (Laurens van Klaveren, AKA Radium/Oops!) Uploader: lrvk euronet nl (Laurens van Klaveren, AKA Radium/Oops!) Type: pix/mwb Version: First, final version. Requires: Magic Workbench 2.0 by Martin Huttenloher Architecture: generic -->> The Why-did-I-do-this BlahBlah You are one of the lucky ones (like me) that bought that nice Iomega ZiP drive? Probably, you weren't able to find a really nice, not too big, Magic Workbench (XEN) style icon for it. Well, here it is! Frustrated as I was with the standard disk-icon appearing on my WorkBench, I decided to draw my own. An hour (yes, an HOUR!) later, it was there. -->> Disclaimer If this file damages your computer, I am Bill Gates. :-) By the way, it's Send-Microsoft-a-Mail-Bomb-Ware. Or something like that. Eheh. -->> "Installation" is a big word To use the icon, just copy the "disk.info" file in this archive to the root directory of a pre-formatted (blank, or almost full, no problem) ZiP-diskette. After that, reboot your Amiga and see... It actually works! :-) -->> Requirements (or what you need to display this icon file) * Amiga computer, with a TV set or a monitor. I guess. * Iomega ZiP-drive although I can imagine that you like it so much, that you will even use it for all your other devices. If you're that nuts, all I can tell is that it still works! * Magic WorkBench 2.0. Older versions have a brighter palette, looking less stylish. This Icon pack (by Martin Huttenloher) is available on Aminet, and is shareware. * 1x1 resolution. That means that the pixels have to be squares, not just rectangles. On a normal monitor or TV, use Hires Laced. MultiSync (M1438S) owners should use DBLPAL, Multiscan Productivity or something like that. * The right palette. If MagicWB is installed, it has to be okay. -->> How to contact me In case you want ZiP-icon support, you can contact me at: lrvk@euronet.nl For more useful things, like sending a nice e-mail, you can also contact this address. -->> Who am I? I'm Laurens, known as Radium, member of "Oops!" in the Amiga demo-scene. My jobs are gfx and (techno!)-music. We are currently working on a demo and two music-disks. Available at Aminet in the not-so-distant future. Maybe I can tell you a lot more about myself, but I think it's about time to start copying that tiny piece of art to your most exotic SCSI-device. Good luck. See ya. -->> Known bugs When you delete the disk.info file, the icon is gone. So don't. :-)
