ADPCM_dec v2.9a  (C) 2005-2012  Lorence Lombardo.


ADPCM_dec is a decoder for Christian Buchner's ADPCM format, using the
ZyXel compression algorithm. 

ADPCM_dec will also decode my very own LLADPCM format.

See the archive "ADPCM_enc.lha" on the aminet for more information about
the LLADPCM format.


ADPCM_dec is also "PIPE:" friendly.


Usage is as follows:-

 ADPCM_dec <ADPCM_file> <output_file>

 Provide no <output_file> to play via AHI.

 Extensions can be used to save in various formats.
 Use `!EXT' for the <ADPCM_file> for an extensions list.


See the files "ParaMiAmiga.lha" and "dancing.lha" from the aminet for
examples of an ADPCM2 and ADPCM3 respectively.

Also try encoding a stereo standard AIFF (16bit 44100Hz) with "ADPCM_enc"
or "Hifi2ADPCM" to get a better idea of its output quality.

Thanks to Bernd Roesch for his assistance on the asm routines.

NB: Stereo 8SVX requires that you have "aw2sv" or "ADPCM_enc" in the same
    path.
