Short: Amiga port of Duke Nukem 3D Author: novacoder@yahoo.co.uk Uploader: novacoder yahoo co uk Type: game/shoot Version: 1.0.18 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.1.0 Distribution: Aminet Kurz: Amiga Portierung von Duke Nukem 3D Overview: This is an Amiga 68k port of Duke Nukem 3D based on the old Atari/Amiga ports with some newer features from Chocolate Duke added for extra flavour. Requirements: 1) An AGA Amiga with a fast 68060 processor (PAL/NTSC) 2) 32 MB of FASTRAM 3) AHI installed (v4.18 recommended) 4) 3.1 ROMS (3.0 ROMS may cause it to run slowly) 5) A copy of the PC Duke Nukem 3D data file (must be the Atomic version) Configuration Options: The tooltype 'closewb' can be used to close the Workbench (3.1 ROMS recommended). The tooltype 'displaytype' can be used to set your display mode (PAL or NTSC). When running from the Shell you must specify a stack of at least 300,000. The AHI device used will be the one configured in your AHI Prefs (music unit), this will be written to the log file. You will need to place the PC game data file DUKE3D.GRP in the AmiDuke folder. Performance Considerations: 1) If you have a Blizzard you should really be using BlizKick, Apollo users should be using RemApollo 2) Fast File System is actually really slow, use PFS3 instead 3) Stick with v4.18 of AHI as the later versions without the 'FAST' modes are slower. Limitations: 1) No network or multi-player support 2) No music support (sorry guys) 3) No joystick support Version History: 1.0.6 - Initial release 1.0.8 - Added support for NTSC screen modes 1.0.9 - Fixed graphic issues with ramps 1.0.10 - Fixed close Workbench tooltype 1.0.16 - Added support to run from the Shell, slight performance improvements 1.0.18 - Fixed memory corruption on startup.
