Short: Info and Hints for Frontier / Elite II Author: Christoph.Tietz@gmd.de Uploader: Christoph Tietz gmd de Type: game/hint Version: 05-Apr-1994 Architecture: m68k-amigaos Format: PostScript / TeX-dvi / plain ASCII The file frontier.lzh contains the PostScript formatted version of my info and hint file for the game Frontier (Elite II). If you have problems printing PostScript you should take a look at the GNU Ghostscript port for the Amiga. You find it e.g. on Aminet near text/print. For the people who like TeX's dvi format more, I have added the same file in .dvi format to the lzh archive. You can find the two PostScript files with illustrations which are referenced in the DVI file in the tex_src archive. For the desperate who want good old plain ASCII, there is a version in ASCII too, but it is really ugly, although Roger McAllister (ramjet@mv.MV.COM) and me have put a lot of work into it. This is my final update of the info file. If you want to take over maintenance, you can start with the complete LaTeX sources which you can find in the tex_src archive together with the two PostScript pictures The info file was developed during my game play on a PC and contains lots of information from the discussions on the newsgroup comp.sys.amiga.games. Nearly all information and bugs apply to the Amiga version also. There seem to be small differences in the positions of some star systems, but usually these differences are very small and should only show up in the wormhole list. One more word about comp.sys.amiga.games: It is NOT an internet site you can telnet to, but a newsgroup in the internet news system. This is a kind of global bulletin board system with lots of permament discussions that automatically get distributed to all subscribing sites. If you don't know what news is or want to subscribe to comp.sys.amiga.games, PLEASE don't ask me. Ask your local system administrator instead. I don't know more about news than is necessary to use it (if it's there). Happy playing!
