Short: Another def_TransferAnimation for IBrowse, Voyager and AWebII (of a spinning globe) Author: Alexander Niven-Jenkins (anj@cremlinsoftware.org) Uploader: Alexander Niven-Jenkins (anj cremlinsoftware org) Type: comm/www Replaces: rotating_earth.lha Architecture: m68k-amigaos Background ~~~~~~~~~~ I saw this animation of the earth and my first thought was, god this is far superior to that crappy animation that comes with IBrowse! So I have converted the orginal animgif to a IBrowse, Voyager and AWebII compatible transfer animation. It is a spinning earth and a bloody good one at that :-) Information ~~~~~~~~~~~ The animation is made up of 37 100x100x8 or 50x50x8 images. 36 for the animation and 1 for the still image, so many people don't include this and thats why in IBrowse at least you get the funny jump at the end :-) I have only provided a 256 colour version (as the original animgif was 256) if you want it in less colours I'm sure it won't be too hard for you to lower the resolution of the image yourself :-) Though the image is perfectly matched to the standard workbench 256 colour palette. So it should be fine even for you AGA users running IBrowse! The 100x100 version is !!!MASSIVE!!! but perfect for us graphic card users of IBrowse on massive screens :-) However the 50x50 version was created to match the navigation images I use as they are 50x50 so everything is in line. If only IBrowse allowed you to 'attach' the transfer animation to the navigation bar. Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ IBrowse: 01. Copy the file anim50 or anim100 to your IBrowse/images drawer as def_TransferAnimation. 02. Copy over the relevant icon for anim (anim50i.info or anim100i.info) to your IBrowse/images drawer as def_TransferAnimation.info Voyager: 01. Copy the file anim50 or anim100 to your Voyager drawer as TransferAnim. 02. Copy over the relevant icon for anim (anim50v.info or anim100v.info) to your Voyager drawer as TransferAnim.info AWebII 3: 01. Copy the file anim50 or anim100 to your AWeb3/images drawer as def_TransferAnim. 02. Copy over the relevant icon for anim (anim50a.info or anim100a.info) to your AWeb3/images drawer as def_TransferAnim.info It's as simple as that:-) The rest ~~~~~~~~ Now go online enjoy browsing the www with a respectable rotating earth.
