Architecture: generic -------------------------------------------------------------------------- #?ware: It's visitware and guestbookware (not that I would TRY to charge for them and crippleware would be pointless). :) This means that using these scripts requires nothing more than visiting my homepage and signing my guestbook at http://www.dryad.clara.net :) It would also be good if you decided to follow my links about autism and AutiRing, but that's optional. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After inadvertantly deleting my large MIDI collection, about half of which were downloaded from ftp.filecity.com, I REALLY wished I had bothered to save the batch scripts....... This time, I won't make the same mistake twice - now I have that sorted, I can make a different mistake :) It's even more important now that I have the MIDI files located on a SmartFileSystem partition (which at the time of uploading these scripts is still beta). If I lose the files again, it's only time and not effort to re-get them :) Anyway, here's a bunch of AmFTP style batch scripts. I've got them in their "native" form (wuarcMIDI#?) and in the "collection" form (concatenated). I'd recommend using the concatenated script (wuarcMIDI_all) if you have the HD space. NOTE: Don't forget to disable "flat download" - there are several files with duplicate names, and you probably want to keep the hierarchy anyway. If you do keep the hierarchy and you use mus/midi/midiplay265b, you might want to use my included script (MakePlaylist) which will generate a midiplay.playlist and sort the entries into alphabetical order. The script requires FinalData. It's not a good script by any means, but it is bug free and does the job. You will need to edit the script, as I have explicitly set up the paths to my MIDI file collection and to FinalData. NOTE: At the moment, ftp.filecity.com seems to be empty.
