Short: New fast areafix for TrapToss Author: metin@stepout.tynet.sub.org (Metin Savignano) Uploader: andre melior s bawue de (Andre Schenk) Type: comm/fido Architecture: m68k-amigaos Idefix is a new fast and reliable areafix for TrapToss. This is the first public pre-release. It is not a final release, but intended for feedback to the author from anyone interested in using it. Nonetheless, it has been beta-tested on several machines and found to work reliable. No bugs are known. Features currently available: - Works tightly and comfortably with TrapToss. - Well beta-tested on several Amiga systems. - Optionally backs up your TrapToss.cfg before any modifications are done. - LIST, QUERY, UNLINKED, and HELP may be requested either as % commands, or as subject shortcuts. - Remote maintenance using %FROM supported. - Supports area access restrictions. - Supports areas that downlinks MUST subscribe to. - Automatically forwards requests for areas that you do not yet carry to the appropriate feed, and adds them to your config as pass-thru. - Automatically detaches pass-thru areas from your feed, if the last downlink detaches from them. - Supports both, separate configuration files, or the global configuration file concept (GCF), as in fido.cfg. - Obtains as much information as possible from TrapToss's config file, keeping you from configuring the same stuff in a dozen different files. - Designed with hardly any built-in limit, all resources are dynamically requested, if and when they are required. - Automatically uses your appriopriate AKA for the reply. - Remote maintenance for other downlinks using %FROM. - And some more nice features.
